Egypt and MENA Region Shine at 79th World Health Assembly with Disease Elimination Milestones
The 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva marked a proud moment for the MENA region as Egypt’s Vice-Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Amr Mohamed Kandeel, received a prestigious WHO public health prize for his role in steering Egypt to WHO certification for the elimination of measles, rubella, malaria, and trachoma.
